Humanitarian award honors Dr. David Watt — 4 things to know

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago has honored David Watt, MD, with its 2017 humanitarian award, according to a Patch report.

Here are four details:

 

1. Dr. Watt is an orthopedic surgeon at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Ill.

 

2. He has volunteered as a physician on many medical mission trips around the world and has been an active volunteer in the Chicago area for 30 years.

 

3. Dr. Watt was one of five staff members presented with awards for their community contributions and for honoring Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy.

 

4. Since the humanitarian awards program began in 1979, 70 Employees and 23 physicians have been honored for their positive impact in the community.
