Senior Charity Care Foundation names Dr. Aaron Hofmann 2016 Continuum of Caring recipient: 4 things to know

Senior Charity Care Foundation, a nonprofit providing seniors in care facilities financial assistance, named Aaron Hofmann, MD, the 2016 Continuum of Caring recipient.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Dr. Hofmann received the award for his dedication to serving uninsured and underinsured patients, many of whom are seniors, through Operation Walk USA and Operation Walk Utah. Through Operation Walk USA and Operation Walk Utah, providers offer patients with arthritis or other bone and joint conditions free surgical treatments.

 

2. Dr. Hofmann is the director of Center for Precision Joint Replacement at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center in Salt Lake City. He is also the founder of the Hofmann Arthritis Institute in Salt Lake City.

 

3. The Senior Charity Care Foundation honored Dr. Hoffman and his daughter Erin Hofmann, president of Total Joint Orthopedics, on Oct. 13 during the organization's Hope Benefit.

 

4. The Hofmann Arthritis Institute offers patients with arthritis nonsurgical and surgical treatment options.

 

"Our foundation appreciates the commitment to care and support demonstrated by Dr. Hofmann," said Beth Ehrhardt, president of Senior Charity Care Foundation. "Nominations for the Continuum of Caring Award are gathered from past award recipients, sponsors and friends of the Hope Benefit. The friends will then select potential nominees for final review and approval by the board of directors."
