Greg Schweiger, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Orthopedic Physicians Alaska, a practice with offices in Anchorage, Wasilla and Eagle River. He specializes in orthopedic trauma, with an emphasis on sports medicine and knee and hip arthroscopy.

He has focused on trauma care throughout his career, developing expertise in complex fracture care, pelvic acetabular reconstruction and post-traumatic reconstruction. Prior to joining Orthopedic Physicians Alaska, he lived in Boise, Idaho, and provided care for the region's only trauma center. Today, he holds memberships with Anchorage Orthopedic Society, Alaska State Medical Association and Orthopaedic Trauma Association.

 

Dr. Schweiger earned his medical degree at University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He went on to complete an orthopedic surgery residency at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland.
