The Townsend, Wash.-based hospital district Jefferson Healthcare has added John D. Osland, MD, to its orthopedic clinic, according to Peninsula Daily News.
Here are three things to know about Dr. Osland:
1. He specializes in sports medicine, knee replacements and knee and shoulder arthroscopy.
2. He is leading the orthopedic clinic's development into a team of three surgeons and two physician assistants — in the past, the clinic has only had one surgeon.
3. He earned his medical degree at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, N.D. He went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita, Kan.
