Dr. Jaime Pedraza joins Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic: 5 things to know

Garner, N.C.-based Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic welcomed Jaime Pedraza, MD, to its staff, according to Physical Therapy Products.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Dr. Pedraza is a primary care sports medicine physician.

 

2. He will start seeing patients on Aug. 10.

 

3. Specializing in nonsurgical orthopedics, general sports medicine and concussion management, Dr. Pedraza uses the ImPACT concussion evaluation system when treating various patients.

 

4. Dr. Pedraza is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and American College of Sports Medicine.

 

5. He earned his medical degree from "Dr. Ignacio Chavez" School of Medical and Biological Sciences, a branch of the University of Michoacán in Morelia, Mexico. He went on to complete his  family and community medicine residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Hershey and Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He underwent his primary care sports medicine fellowship at University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor.
