Here are ten orthopedic surgeons making the news this week.

Western Pennsylvania Orthopedic & Sports Medicine in Johnstown, Pa., added Jacob Budny, DO, to its physician team.

 

Ben C. Robinson, MD, joined Cedar Orthopedic Surgery Specialty Clinic in Cedar City, Utah.

 

Ran Schwarzkopf, MD, MSc, received the 2015 American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons' Lawrence D. Dorr Surgical Techniques & Technologies Award.

 

Surgical Affiliates Management Group, a surgical hospital company, partnered with Lakeport, Calif.-based Sutter Lakeside Hospital to create an orthopedic program to meet the growing needs of the Lakeport community. Leon Owens, MD, serves as CEO of Surgical Affiliates.

 

Carriero Foot and Ankle is opening a new office location in Encinitas, Calif. Keenan Carriero, DPM, owner of Carriero Foot and Ankle, focuses on podiatric surgery, foot and ankle trauma, congenital deformities, and degenerative conditions.

 

The American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons elected orthopedic surgeon Anthony Romeo, MD, as vice president.

 

Memphis, Mo.-based Scotland County Hospital added John Bailey, DO, to its orthopedic team.

 

Alexandra E. Page, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, was named co-chair of the USBJI Chronic Osteoarthritis Management Initiative.

 

Michael Graham, DPM, will be speaking at the 10th International Congress of Chinese Orthopaedic Association.

 

Congratulations to Ronald Navarro, MD, of Rolling Hills California for performing the very first Tornier Blueprint patient specific instrumentation (PSI) total shoulder arthroplasty in the Kaiser Permanente system, where the PerFORM Glenoid component position was planned virtually in the preoperative setting.
