Dr. Alexandra Page becomes USBJI Chronic Osteoarthritis Management Initiative co-chair: 5 key notes

Alexandra E. Page, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, was named co-chair of the USBJI Chronic Osteoarthritis Management Initiative, according to an AAOS Now report.

Here are five key notes on Dr. Page:

 

1. Dr. Page is a California-based orthopedic surgeon and served in leadership positions for several organizations, including the chair-elect of the Health Care Systems Committees for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

 

2. She was the AAOS representative to the American Medical Society and the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society representative to the AAOS Board of Specialties.

 

3. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Page writes and speaks on national and international healthcare issues.

 

4. Dr. Page serves as a clinical consultant to the Musculoskeletal Disease Solution Team at West Health Institute, a think-tank focused on high value solutions to musculoskeletal care.

 

5. She earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed an orthopedic residency at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. She also completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery and Roosevelt Hospital.
