Great Falls Clinic creates new joint program

Orthopedic

Great Falls (Mont.) Clinic has established a new joint program, according to a Great Falls Tribune report.

The program involves education before surgery and support right after. Patients and their families attend pre-surgery classes to learn about surgery and what to expect. After the procedure, patients are provided therapy and attend reunion meetings a few weeks post surgery. Staff members also ensure that patients are moving and walking soon after surgery.

The goal of the new program is to standardize care and reduce costs, as well as ensure that patient satisfaction remains high, in keeping with the demands of the new world of value-based care, according to the report.
