Dr. Tyson Cobb presents on MIS techniques at hand surgery association meeting

Orthopedic

Tyson Cobb, MD, director of the Hand and Upper Extremity Center at Davenport, Iowa-based Orthopaedic Specialists, presented research at the 2015 meeting for the American Association for Hand Surgery that shows the efficacy of minimally invasive surgical techniques.

At the meeting, Dr. Cobb and his team detailed surgeries mentioned in the presented research. For example, they discussed how employing MIS methods for treatment of chronic distal biceps tendon rupture of the elbow and chronic exertional compartment syndrome of the forearm could reduce recovery time, postoperative pain and scarring.
