Intermountain Health launches in-office hand procedures

Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health is adding in-office procedures for carpal tunnel and trigger finger, according to an April 28 report from ABC4.

In-office procedures allow hand patients to receive localized anesthesia, often leaving the office within 20 minutes.

Due to the quick nature of in-office surgeries, patients are able to save both time and money associated with in-patient care and anesthesia costs.

In addition, research has shown there are no additional complications or infections associated with office-based procedures, according to the report.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
