Dr. Francisco Jaume Jr. named YRMC’s 2015 Physician of the Year — 5 highlights

Francisco Jaume Jr., DO, was selected as the 2015 Physician of the Year by Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz., according to The Daily Courier.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. Dr. Jaume is the chairman of YRMC’s department of surgery.

 

2. Dr. Jaume first arrived at YRMC in 2004. He has served as director of the Advanced Wound Care Center during his tenure.

 

3. Dr. Jaume is credited with helping the center earn its status as a state-of-the-art facility that offers northern Arizona’s sole hyperbaric chambers for hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

 

4. Dr. Jaume was a U.S. Marine sergeant for six years, and served eight years in the U.S. Air Force Medical Service Corps where he earned the rank of major.

 

5. Dr. Jaume completed his medical training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine in Newark and Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. He completed his residency at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia.
