New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery and fitness company Peloton have launched a collaboration to create expert-backed content for joint and muscle injury prevention and recovery.
The partnership introduces Peloton classes designed with HSS clinicians to target musculoskeletal concerns, including runner’s knee, tennis elbow, postpartum movement, bone health and mobility for desk workers. These classes are available to all members through Peloton’s platforms, according to an Oct. 20 system news release from the health system.
Peloton said more recovery-focused content is in development. The company is also working with The Recovery Shop to offer a Bike+ rental package to HSS patients recovering from surgery or injury.
Additionally, Peloton launched a Member Concierge service through HSS Perform, giving members access to orthopedic care, physical therapy and consultations across HSS’ locations in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida, the release said.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
