The new surgical center is part of a partnership between HSS and Naples Comprehensive Health.

The money was gifted by the Kapnick Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting HSS’ vision for musculoskeletal care. Previously, the foundation supported the expansion of facilities on the HSS main campus in New York City.

NCH broke ground on the Patty & Jay Baker Pavilion, a 100,000-square-foot facility supporting orthopedic care, in 2023.

The Baker Pavilion will offer comprehensive outpatient and inpatient musculoskeletal services, including imaging and rehabilitation. It will also house the Kapnick Foundation Ambulatory Surgical Center.

The new facility is expected to open in March.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
