HSS announces 2 new leadership appointments

New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery has appointed David Mayman, MD, and Daniel Green, MD, to its leadership team.

Dr. Mayman will serve as chief of the adult reconstruction and joint replacement service, succeeding Mathias Bostrom, MD. Dr. Bostrom was recently appointed associate surgeon-in-chief at HSS. 

Dr. Mayman specializes in hip and knee replacements and is a leader in robotic joint replacement surgeries, according to an Aug. 9 press release. 

Dr. Green will serve as chief of the pediatric orthopedic surgery service, succeeding Roger Widmann, MD. 

Dr. Green is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee surgery. 

In their new roles, Dr. Mayman and Dr. Green will lead multidisciplinary teams that handle musculoskeletal care, from hip and knee replacements to sports medicine injuries.
