Mr. and Mrs. Baker publicly announced the grant at an event for the new facility, after Mr. Baker had been working for over a year to bring HSS to Florida.

Mr. Baker is on the NCH Healthcare board, and he started the conversation between the two facilities, according to the report.

“We’re happy to have played a role in bringing the very best orthopedic care in the world to our very own community here in Southwest Florida,” Mr. Baker told Florida Weekly. “The NCH Healthcare System is resolute in making the best-in-class care, anywhere, available to our community here in Naples, and Patty and I couldn’t be happier to be part of that legacy.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
