Hospital for Special Surgery physician’s telehealth brand partners with orthopedic analytics company

An orthopedic surgeon who founded an orthopedic telehealth platform partnered with musculoskeletal wearable company Figur8.

Best In Class MD was founded by Benedict Nwachukwu, MD, of New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery, according to an April 11 news release. Figur8’s technology measures biomarkers including range of motion, movement quality and functional mobility. 

The partnership aims to combine analytics and musculoskeletal care.

“Figur8 brings objective and meaningful data to the standard musculoskeletal clinical assessment in a way that’s never been done before, equipping Best In Class MD’s physicians with precision analytics to support diagnostic and treatment decisions for musculoskeletal conditions,” Dr. Nwachukwu said in the release.
