Hospital for Special Surgery partners with medtech company for wireless camera

New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery is partnering with Lazurite, the developer of the ArthroFree wireless surgical camera.

Under the partnership, Lazurite and HSS will collaborate on evaluations for ArthroFree with the potental to develop new arthroscopy technologies, the medtech company said in a Nov. 1 news release. HSS will host training sessions with the wireless technology at its HSS Simulation Learning and Training Center.

ArthroFree is the first wireless camera system to recieve FDA clearance for arthroscopy and general endoscopy. It is designed to increase efficienct and improve safety in the operating room.
