New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery engaged Intelliseq, a genomic data science company, to support orthopedic research, according to a May 7 news release.

HSS will use Intelliseq’s whole genome sequencing and bioinformatics capabilities for research on genetic and clinical factors in spine surgery.

The work will integrate genomic data with clinical and demographic information to help create predictive models that may inform future clinical decisionmaking.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
