The program features healthcare providers chosen by each NFL team in every NFL city to provide care for eligible former players, according to a Nov. 10 news release from Hoag. All former NFL players regardless of who they played for can recieve care at Hoag through the program.
“As an exclusive healthcare provider for the Los Angeles Chargers, we take great pride in being part of the Chargers and the NFL organizations,” Eugene Yim, MD, director of sports medicine at Hoag, said in the release. “We are honored to be able to provide the same world-class care to players during their careers and throughout their post-NFL lives.”
Hoag has six institutes with specialized services, including the Hoag Orthopedic Institute.
