Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Irvine, Calif., has performed more than 300,000 spine and orthopedic procedures across its locations since it was founded in 2010, according to a March 13 news release.

The 300,000 procedure milestone comes shortly after HOI reached its 1,500 robotic surgery milestone. Since it was founded, HOI has grown to five affiliated surgery centers and a hospital.

“The 300,000-case milestone is about much more than just volume,” HOI Chief Executive Officer Kim Mikes, MBA, RN, said in a news release. “It’s about the reasons why our patients choose us: surgical expertise, a 5-star patient experience and our exclusive focus on musculoskeletal care. Our reputation attracts patients from all over the country–and the world–who seek elite level care in a focused, specialty environment.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
