Highest-paying cities, regions for orthopedic surgeons

The Baltimore-Columbia-Towson, Md., area is the highest-paying metropolitan region for orthopedic surgeons, according to new data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The federal agency released updated salary information to reflect 2023 data April 3.

Here are the top-paying metropolitan and nonmetropolitan areas for orthopedic surgeons:

Note: This information excludes pediatric orthopedic surgeons.
