HCA Florida hospital adds orthopedic surgeon

HCA Florida Highlands Hospital in Sebring has added Brian Burke, MD, to its orthopedic team. 

Dr. Burke has more than 24 years of experience, including over 10 years in level 1 and 2 trauma centers. He treats a range of orthopedic conditions, including fractures, sports injuries and joint degeneration, according to a Nov. 3 system news release. 

His surgical expertise includes total joint replacements of the hip, knee and shoulder, as well as complex revision procedures and minimally invasive arthroscopic repairs for injuries such as ACL tears and rotator cuff damage.

In addition to surgical treatment, Dr. Burke offers nonoperative options such as platelet-rich plasma and stem cell injections for joint preservation, according to the release.
