Westwood, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center has added the Stryker Mako SmartRobotics system to its orthopedic program.
The technology will support total knee, partial knee and total hip replacements. It uses 3D CT-based planning and real-time robotic guidance to help surgeons tailor procedures to each patient’s anatomy, according to a Jan. 21 news release from the hospital.
The system is designed to improve precision, reduce soft-tissue damage and support more consistent outcomes for joint replacement patients.
