Globus Medical co-founder added to Waypoint Orthopedics board

Waypoint Orthopedics added Andrew Iott to its board of directors, the devicemaker said Feb. 28.

Mr. Iott is an adviser and investor to different life science companies, according to a news release. Previously, he was co-founder and senior vice president of global product development at Globus Medical.

He comes to the board as Waypoint is developing its Waypoint GPS system.

Mr. Iott is also on the board of Synergy Biomedical, IC Surgical and Happy Spine. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson (S.C.) University.
