Here are five observations:
1. Glencoe Regional Health Services ended its relationship with the orthopedic group that previously provided care at GRHS.
2. GRHS hired two permanent orthopedic staff members — Brian Walters, MD, and Terese Haasken, a certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedics.
3. Both providers will join GRHS on Oct. 19.
4. Dr. Walters focuses on minimally invasive surgery for shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and ankles as well as total joint replacement procedures.
5. GRHS will also invest $4.1 million in a 12,000-square-foot addition to its campus that will house an expanded rehabilitation department.
