Emmanuel University Athletics in Franklin Springs, Ga., named Athens (Ga.) Orthopedic Clinic its exclusive sports medicine partner.
Athens Orthopedic Clinic will provide physician coverage at Emmanuel athletic events and priority access to imaging and treatment seven days a week. Student-athletes will also have access to orthopedic specialists in shoulder, knee, hand, foot and ankle, and spine care, according to a Sept. 24 news release.
The partnership builds on several years of collaboration between the organizations. The agreement also creates job-shadowing and professional development opportunities for Emmanuel students interested in healthcare careers. Student athletic trainers will have opportunities to gain on-the-field experience at area high schools and Athens Orthopedic Clinic locations.
