Three things to know:

1. The company’s handheld, sensor-based technology delivers both intraoperative surgical guidance and economics.

2. OrthAlign’s smart-tech platform provides real-time information regarding the alignment and balance of implants, eliminating the need for preoperative imaging or large image-guided systems inside the OR.

3. A hospital or surgery center can install the technology simultaneously in several ORs and at any site in its network without additional capital equipment purchase.

“The economic benefits of a single-use device compares favorably against robotic systems without compromising clinical outcomes,” said Bhargav Rajan, leader of the medical devices and imaging team at Frost & Sullivan.
