Indianapolis-based Franciscan Physician Network Sports Medicine Specialists and Greencastle, Ind.-based Putnam County Hospital have partnered to expand access to sports medicine services throughout the region.

The collaboration combines Franciscan’s regional orthopedic and sports medicine expertise with Putnam County Hospital’s local presence to provide injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation services without requiring patients to travel outside the area, according to an April 1 news release.

Services will include concussion care, orthopedic evaluation, injury management, therapy coordination and sideline support for local school and recreational sports. Franciscan’s Kathleen Naylor, DO, will lead the clinical team.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
