Robert Robertson, MD, a longtime orthopedic surgeon and founding member of Oklahoma Surgical Hospital in Tulsa, died Aug. 18 at 85.
Dr. Robertson spent four years completing specialty training in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minn., before moving to Tulsa, where he entered private orthopedic practice, according to his obituary. He continued practicing until his retirement Jan. 1, 2020.
For most of his career, Dr. Robertson was on staff at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where he served on the medical executive committee and as chairman of the orthopedic department. He also served as president of the Tulsa County Orthopedic Society.
