Clinekt Health, a Birmingham, Ala.-based health tech company founded by orthopedic surgeon Kenneth Bramlett, MD, has inked a partnership with Mercedes-Benz, according to a March 26 report from The Birmingham Business Journal.

Dr. Bramlett, a former Andrews Sports Medicine surgeon, founded Clinekt to connect orthopedic patients to specialists who can diagnose them without the need for an office visit.

Through its new partnership, Clinekt will work with medical care consulting firm Curaechoice to provide services to 6,000 Mercedes manufacturing warehouse employees in Alabama. Employees will have access to Clinekt’s AI platform MedCheck, which can give patients diagnoses and recommend orthopedic treatment plans virtually.

The partnership launched March 17, allowing warehouse workers to answer questions about their orthopedic help and receive a diagnosis in one of three categories. Patients can earn a green diagnosis, meaning no orthopedic issues; a yellow diagnosis, meaning there is injury but no need for surgery yet; or a red diagnosis, indicating surgery is required.

Clinekt will screen all 6,000 warehouse employees every quarter to keep tabs on their orthopedic health, according to the report.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
