Florida orthopedic practice raises $24K for children’s nonprofit: 3 insights

Orthopaedic Associates of St. Augustine (Fla.) raised more than $24,000 for Investing in Kids, the direct support organization for the St. Johns County (Fla.) School District, The St. Augustine Record reports.

Here are three things to know:

1. The money was raised at the 10th Annual Orthopaedic Associates of St. Augustine Golf Tournament Oct. 10, which featured 100 golfers.

2. The practice has raised more than $250,000 for local St. Johns County charities this year, according to board-certified foot and ankle surgeon and Orthopaedic Associates partner Kurtis Hort, MD.

3. Orthopaedic Associates employs eight physicians.
