Florida hospital teams with PE-backed platform to bolster orthopedic care

Physicians Regional Healthcare System, a for-profit hospital system within Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, signed a long-term lease to take over operations and expand the orthopedic surgery program of a hospital in Naples, Fla., according to the Naples Daily News.

Physicians Regional did not provide a date for when it will take over operations of the 50-bed Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida

As part of the move, Physicians Regional signed an agreement with Phoenix-based orthopedic practice management firm Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company, a private-equity-backed firm, according to the report.
