Orlando (Fla.) Health Horizon West Hospital’s joint replacement program earned certification for disease specific care regarding hip and knee replacement from The Joint Commission.
The joint replacement program covers all points of care, from preadmission testing and surgery education to outpatient services, according to an April 15 news release shared with Becker’s.
The hospital has reported shorter stays for patients, fewer readmissions and zero surgical site infections for joint replacements, due to its safety guidelines and standards.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
