Warrenton, Va.-based Fauquier Health has been named a Blue Distinction Center+ for Knee and Hip Replacement Surgery by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
The program identifies hospitals and health systems that demonstrate expertise in patient safety and deliver better health outcomes in knee and hip replacements, according to an Oct. 13 news release from Fauquier Health.
Objective measures developed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield, as well as input from the medical community create the criteria for distinction.
Fauquier Health is a community health system with a 97-bed acute care hospital and multiple physician’s offices, the release said.
