Surgeons Manuel Pellegrini, MD, and Giovanni Carcuro, MD, performed the bilateral ankle procedure at the Clinica Universidad de los Andes in Chile.
The Vantage ankle was first launched in 2016 and received clearance in Chile earlier this year, according to a May 22 press release.
It recreates the natural biomechanics of ankle joints through its curved talus component, which aligns with the talus’ trabecular bone structure and tibial implant.
