EDGE Surgical has launched a universal version of its single-use electronic depth gauge, Ortho EDG, now compatible with all major orthopedic plating systems.

The device features dynamic calibration technology and a digital display to deliver accurate, sterile measurements during orthopedic procedures. It is designed to replace system-specific depth gauges that require sterilization and are limited by implant type, according to a Jan. 7 news release.

The gauge is compatible with plating systems from manufacturers including Stryker, DePuy Synthes, Zimmer Biomet and Smith & Nephew.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
