Durham, N.C.-based Duke Health completed the first surgical procedure using Stryker’s SportSuite Vision on Apple Vision Pro.
The procedure was a hip arthroscopy performed by Chad Mather, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Duke Health, according to a Sept. 1 press release.
SportSuite Vision received FDA de novo authorization July 17, making it the first application approved for intraoperative use with Apple Vision Pro.
SportSuite Vision brings arthroscopic video, HipCheck, HipMap and CT imaging into a customizable spatial computing environment. The technology also allows surgeons to access the information within one field of view during procedures.
