Here are five things to know:
1. The attendees will gain hands-on experience in knee arthroscopy with cadaveric training and hear case discussions on the latest knee techniques and technologies.
2. The three-day symposium will feature seven different sessions that focus on anatomic-based knee reconstructions, most of which Dr. LaPrade and Dr. Engebretsen developed.
3. Dr. LaPrade, of The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., and Dr. Engebretsen of the Oslo Hospital in Norway, have collaborated on more than 50 studies.
4. Dr. LaPrade is a complex knee and sports medicine surgeon. He serves as CMO and co-director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program at the Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail.
5. Dr. Engebretsen focuses on general sports medicine, knee ligaments and cartilage as well as prevention of sports injuries and illnesses. He was inducted into the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine Hall of Fame in 2015.
