Drs. Richard Berger, Vasili Kara & more: 5 orthopedic surgeons making the news

Here are five orthopedic surgeons making headlines this week:

The Western Society of Engineers will honor Richard Berger, MD, with the 2020 Washington Award Feb. 28 for his contributions to joint replacement.

Chicago-based Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush onboarded Vasili Kara, MD, who specializes in rapid recovery hip and knee replacement and complex reconstruction surgery.

Solon Rosenblatt, MD, joined Centura Health-St. Thomas More Hospital in Cañon City, Colo. His areas of expertise include general orthopedic surgery, total joint replacement and osseointegration.

The Joint Replacement Institute in Naples, Fla., hired Daniel Harmon, DO, who specializes in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee.

John Daniels, MD, of Rockford-based OrthoIllinois is offering robotic-assisted joint replacements with Stryker’s Mako system.
