2. Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis named Ryan Calfee, MD, as director of hand and microsurgery.

3. Carl Seon, MD, of UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa., underwent a double lung transplant after complications of COVID-19.

4. George Griffin, MD, of Green Township, Ohio, was sentenced to 40 months in prison for prescribing an excessive amount of opioids.
