The cases were done on two patients with ACL injuries at UH Beachwood (Ohio) Medical Center, according to a news release. Both patients are recivering.
“The wireless ArthroFree System allows for more ergonomic and efficient surgical movements,” Dr. Voos said in the release. “You don’t have to constantly be moving cables around while you’re operating. And the camera handset is lightweight and easy to handle.”
ArthroFree, developed by Lazurite, was debuted by Laith Jazrawi, MD, at New York City-based NYU Langone Orthopdic Center in September. The system was developed through a collaboration between Lazurite and UH Ventures, University Hospitals’ innovation arm.
