Anthony Marlon, MD, donated $2 million to University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Medicine. The donation will help the school hire faculty members for the new orthopedic surgery department.

 

Robert Campbell, MD, shared his insights on military healthcare at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, Mass. Dr. Campbell served in the U.S. Army as an orthopedic surgeon for four years and treated soldiers and civilians at the military hospital in Bagram Airfield.

 

OrthoAtlanta welcomes Timothy Gajewski, MD, to its medical staff. Dr. Gajewski is a board-certified joint surgeon who has 25 years of orthopedic experience.

 

Dean K. Matsuda, MD, performed minimally invasive hip arthroscopies on athletes, allowing them to return to their sports quickly. Dr. Matsuda directs the Hip Arthroscopy Center of Excellence at DISC Sports & Spine Center in California.

 

The American Orthopaedic Association named new members of the Executive Committee. The new appointments include:

Thomas Hartmann Wuerz, MD, joined New England Baptist Hospital in Boston.
