2. His work has been published in a number of journals, including the Journal of Orthopaedic Research.
3. He has also received numerous grants, including a research grant from the Orthopedic Research & Education Foundation.
4. He has served as an assistant team physician for the LA Lakers, LA Dodgers and LA Kings.
5. Dr. Welch completed a sports fellowship at Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
