Thomas Utset-Ward, MD, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon, joined Miami-based Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Utset-Ward specializes in treating benign and malignant tumors of the bone and soft tissues, along with complex limb-sparing reconstructions, according to an April 11 news release. He also performs joint replacement in children and teens.
A former Nicklaus Children’s patient, he is one of seven pediatric-specific orthopedic oncologists nationwide, the release said.
Dr. Utset-Ward earned his medical degree from Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Chicago.
