Dr. Terry Canale wins lifetime achievement award from Memphis Business Journal: 4 facts

Terry Canale, MD, was awarded a lifetime achievement award from the Memphis Business Journal Aug. 3.

Here are four facts:

 

1. Dr. Canale will highlight the 18th annual Health Care Heroes Awards. He is a retired professor and chairman of the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Additionally, he is president of the Campbell Foundation.

 

2. Dr. Canale joined the staff of the Campbell Clinic in 1974. He attended medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He completed his residency at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.

 

3. Dr. Canale was the President of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons from 2000 to 2001. He was president of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America in 1989. He additionally serves on several other professional societies.

 

4. The Health Care Heroes awards salutes companies, individuals and organizations for their contributions to improving healthcare in Memphis and the mid-south.
