Mr. Bogen, who has appeared in Broadway productions of Frozen and Jersey Boys, suffered a shoulder dislocation. He saw Dr. Struhl for an arthroscopic repair.
The actor is recovering well from the surgery, Dr. Struhl said in the release.
Dr. Struhl is an orthopedic surgeon in New York City.
