Steven Shin, MD, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper limb injuries, has operated on Denver Nuggets point guard Russell Westbrook, according to a May 27 report from Fox Sports.
Mr. Westbrook underwent right-hand surgery to fix multiple ligament tears at Kerlan-Jobe Surgery Center in Los Angeles.
The procedure fixed two breaks Mr. Westbrook suffered early in the season. He is expected to return to offseason training this summer, according to the report.
