Dr. Muhlrad launched her practice in 2010 and was recently named a New York Times Magazine Top Doctor – Rising Star. She has a special interest in sports medicine and has treated professional athletes. Here, she discusses the most pressing challenges for orthopedists today and where she sees the specialty headed.
Question: What are the top challenges you’re facing heading into 2019?
Dr. Samantha Muhlrad: Finding good consistent administrative office support and remaining busy in an increasingly competitive market.
Q: What technology are you most excited about in the future?
SM: I’m looking forward to advances in arthroscopic implants/devices and expanded indications for wrist arthroscopy.
Q: What is your best opportunity for growth?
SM: I look forward to the expansion of our hospital system, specifically successful partnerships with other hospitals, orthopedic groups and orthopedic urgent care centers to benefit the residency and the business.
