Dr. Safa Kassab debuts Knee+ NexSight system in US

Safa Kassab, MD, performed the first U.S. case with Pixee Medical’s Knee+ NexSight system, according to a May 15 news release.

The milestone procedure was completed May 6 at Trinity Health Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Mich. Knee+ NexSight is an implant-agnostic headset and uses augmented reality, doesn’t require pre-op CT scans and can integrate into existing workflows. 

Dr. Kassab has performed more than 1,000 cases with Pixee Medical’s past AR knee replacement technology. Pixee Medical plans to expand the Knee+ NexSight across the U.S. following the debut case.
