Dr. Hakanson practices with Northern Medical Group in Mount Airy, N.C. She serves as the director of the Northern Hospital Joint Replacement Program and Orthopaedic Patient Care Management team.
She received the Medtronic award as a result of her poster presentation “The Economic Impact of a Comprehensive Clinical and Surgical Blood Management Program for Primary Total Joint Arthroplasty in a Community Hospital.”
